About Me

Cartoon of Fiona holding a molecule, deep in thought

I have a PhD in medicinal chemistry but that by no means limits my skills to scientific and academic writing. My 7+ years experience in science communication and public engagement initiatives has allowed me to develop adaptive copywriting skills for expert and non-expert audiences. I apply these skills in my work as a Medical Writer for Ashfield Health.

Unfortunately, my experience as a former cancer patient also gives me insight into this disease from a personal perspective as well as my academic interest. I hope that sharing my former and current experiences can help to support others going through hardship because of illness.

As an avid fan of theatre, I have been a critic and content writer for BroadwayWorld UK since 2018 covering theatre in the UK and interviewing West End and Broadway stars and creatives. I regularly pitch and contribute to feature articles about all manner of topics pertaining to theatre culture in the UK.
